Todd is Managing Partner of With The Grain and has been in the construction industry for 25 years. Todd began his career at the University of Colorado where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1995. During his time at CU, Todd worked as an architectural intern for Robert Chisholm Architects in Golden, Colorado. Upon graduation, Todd found a passion for woodworking and the complexities of the building industry in San Francisco, where he worked for a firm restoring Victorian homes. From San Francisco, he relocated to Durango, Colorado, to build upon his architectural experience with TMA Associates.

Dedicated to learning and practicing all facets of the building industry, Todd founded Artisan Creations in 2000. He evolved from designing and building ornate custom cabinetry and furniture to designing and building home remodels and new construction. Since moving to Teton Valley in 2005, Todd completed numerous design and construction projects on both sides of Teton Pass. In Artisan Creations’ 22-year existence, Todd worked side by side with Kurt Mitchell for more than half that time. The two formed a brotherly bond that helped shape the collaborative foundation of With The Grain. As the building industry continues to change and evolve, Todd is passionate about green design and environmental building practices and remains a student of the industry.

In his free time, Todd enjoys time with his wife and daughter and almost any outdoor activity—fly fishing, mountain biking, back-country hiking and packing, skiing, and snowboarding. On Sunday mornings, you’ll find him playing guitar at church.
